Irish government unveils jobs plans
16. augusta 2011
zpět na seznam událostí
The Irish government has launched a consultation paper on proposed reform of industrial relations and employment rights regulations.
Minister for jobs, enterprise and innovation Richard Bruton announced the plans, which will be under discussion until September 16th.
The proposals include suggestions to streamline processes and reduce costs, including creating a single entity to handle such issues rather than the existing five bodies.
Mr Bruton said he wants to create a world class system in this area and stated: "This government is serious about improving public services for users and reducing costs for taxpayers."
He has claimed that the current system needs to be speeded up and the levels of complexity reduced in order to improve its effectiveness and ability to solve workplace grievances.
The National Economic and Social Council in Ireland recently called for systems to be implemented for those in the country who have lost their jobs in the downturn to ensure they do not become reliant upon social welfare payments.
